ALL BOATS MUST WEIGH A MINIMUM OF 300 LBS.  TOP THREE BOATS WILL BE WEIGHED.

 19th Annual Deal lake Jungle Row 6PM start, Main St. boat ramp, Asbury Park .  Approximately 4.5 miles with a .6 mile sprint to the railroad bridge.

5pm registration located at the Asbury Park boat ramp- Main Street across from the 7-11.  Course map and further details will be provided shortly.

FRIDAY July 3rd, 2009-LONG BRANCH CHALLENGE

The Long Branch Challenge wil be held on Fri. July 3. 7am registration 7:30am start. Usla national events include surfboat,rescue board race,surf swim,2k beach run,landline rescue,Taplin relay and beach flags. Events will run in order stated above.

SUNDAY JULY 5, 2009-1ST ANNUAL SPRING LAKE PAVILION TO PAVILION ROW

2 RACES-
All Male begins at 6pm
All Female begins at 6:45

$10 entry fee per person

Race Course APPROXIMATELY 2.2 MILES-

Dry start bow in the water at the North Pavilion
Round buoy in front of North Pavilion and head South
Turn Buoy East to West in front of South Pavilion and head back North
Race finishes by crossing the North Pavilion Buoy.

TUESDAY JULY 7, 2009

The 2009 NEW JERSEY STATE ROWING CHAMPIONSHIP date will take place on Tuesday July 7th, 2009 at 6:00pm.  The race will be held at the Toms River Yacht Club in Toms River, NJ!  We will start and finish from the same location to provide more ease for our competitors and event staff.   Only lightening or severe winds will cancel the race. 2. Water will be free to all competitors before and after the race.  Please have your own beverage while rowing! 3. Awards will be given out only after all boats have crossed the finish line.   The effort of all competitors will be respected. 4.  Free food will be served after the race. 5.  Restrooms will be available at all times. 6. Be prepared for foul weather before, during, and after the race.  Expect the worst weather, but hope for the best weather. 7. Only “Rowing Craft” will be permitted to participate.  NO kayaks, surfskis, or paddleboards will be permitted.   This is a rowing race ONLY. 8. Registration & Check-In will be held from 4:00 pm—5:15 pm. 9. There will be a Competitors Meeting at 5:30 pm. 10. The race will start at APPROXIMATLEY 6:00 pm. 

THURSDAY JULY 23, 2009- 6:30 PM

The 8th Annual Independence Row will be held on Thursday July 23rd, at 6:30pm in Manasquan, NJ.  Hosted by Manasquan Beach Patrol.

Registration will take place at the Ocean Avenue Beach Ramp. from 5:45 - 6:15pm.  The race will start at 6:30pm Sharp.

There is no registration fee; all boats are free. 

There will be two courses.  The Freedom and Independence.  The Freedom Course is approximately 5 miles and the Independence is approximately 3.5miles. CLICK HERE FOR COURSE MAP 

The Freedom course is limited to only the self-bailing class boats. 

Awards will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for both the Freedom and Independence Races.

In the Independence Race, awards will also be given to the 1st Self-Bailer, 1st Fiberglass Boat and 1st Wood Boat.

The Freedom Course will have a wet Start.   The independence will have a dry start.
